TIM SAYER (trumpet and electronics) Tim Sayer is currently a senior lecturer in Digital Media and Communication and is programme leader for Live Music degree at UCP Marjon, Plymouth. Tim is also a multimedia software developer and works as a freelance trumpet player in the UK and across Europe playing with the likes of The Levellers, Eddie Floyd, Joe Lois Walker, Ottis Grand and Pee Wee Ellis. While registered on the PhD programme at Dartington College of Arts, Totnes, he presented his work at the ICA, Sonic Arts Research Centre Belfast and the University of California Santa Barbara. Tim has developed interfaces for various performances at Dartington as well the ‘Night Walking’ conference at the South Bank, London and in the Roland Levinsky Building Plymouth for Peninsular Arts. His research interests include human computer interface design in the context of mprovised musical performance, exploring the perceptual parameter space that exists between performer and technology as a means of investigating cognitive/behavioural mappings. Tim has written articles relating to this research published in Digital Creativity (Vol 12 No1) and Contemporary Music Review (Vol 25 Part1+2)
